Creme Egg Brownies!

Happy Easter readers! To brighten up your bank holiday weekend, why not bake some Creme Egg brownies?

What you'll need to make these delicious treats:

185g unsalted butter
185g milk or dark chocolate
85g plain flour
40g cocoa powder
3 large eggs
275g golden caster sugar
6 Cadbury's Creme Eggs

1. Preheat the oven to 160c and grease a 20cm square baking tin.
2. Melt the butter and chocolate together in the microwave.
3. Break the eggs into a large bowl and pour in the golden caster sugar. With an electric mixer, whisk the eggs and sugar until they look thick, pale and creamy.
4. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the eggs and sugar, then gently fold together.
5. Sift the cocoa powder and flour into the mixture, then gently stir it together.
6. Pour it all into the baking tin and cook for 20 minutes.
7. Cut the Creme Eggs in half.
8. Take the mixture out of the oven and gently press the Creme Egg halves into the mix, spacing them apart evenly.
9. Put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
10. Leave to cool and set before removing from tin and cutting into squares.

Enjoy!
