Yesterday, me and my boyfriend took a day trip on the Severn Valley Railway! It was such a great day and I recommend all of my local readers to visit this attraction. We travelled to Bridgnorth and also Arley, where all of the following photos were taken...
I'll tell you in a little more detail of what our day involved: Bridgnorth is a lovely little town with a busy highstreet. Castle Walk and the cliff railway provide brilliant views! There's also a beautiful park and grass area where castle ruins are situated, giving a historical feel. The surroundings of the River Severn in Bridgnorth also provides a nice place to sit and watch the world go by!
Arley is the other village that we visited. There's a good pub there called The Harbour Inn with a lovely beer garden, where you can feed goats! Across the bridge over the River Severn is also a riverside cafe who serve gorgeous cream tea. Arley is very picturesque, peaceful and a great escape!
The trains themselves were too a good experience. They're really old fashioned so it feels like you're travelling back in time! There's great views on the way to your destination so the journey goes really quick. Like I said, I really urge my local readers to take a trip on the Severn Valley Railway if you fancy a day out in the country! If you want to find out more visit www.svr.co.uk.
