Last night, I practiced making some cocktails from my new book (which I've talked about in a previous post last month)! I made three cocktails: Woo Woo, Velvet Peach Hammer and Madraski - all vodka based cocktails including a mixture of peach schnapps, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, peaches, kiwis and limes. They were really easy to make and tasted delicious! My Mom and Dad also thought so, as we shared them for pre drinks before heading to our local pubbing town, Bewdley, with some friends. Here are a few photos of the cocktails and their recipes...
Although I liked all three of the cocktails, my favourite was the Madraski! It consisted of fresh kiwi, so provided a really fruity and refreshing taste. The Madraski also wasn't too strong (I think I put too much vodka in the Woo Woo and Velvet Peach Hammer)! If you're interesting in making your own cocktails too, then I really recommend the book I used! Incase you didn't read my previous cocktail post, it's called '365 Cocktails' by Brian Lucas. (I bought mine off eBay and I think Amazon sells it too).
I believe my trial run of making cocktails went really well! I may practice some more before hosting a cocktail party though. I'll keep you updated on this little task of mine...
