Earlier today, it was announced that Rihanna had cancelled her ten week trip to the UK. She was due to land in London yesterday but did not arrive. She was planned to film a show for Sky Living today and was supposed to appear on Graham Norton's show next Friday. Not to mention performing at Radio 1's Big Weekend and headlining at Wireless Festival next month!
Rihanna's 'bosses' refused to give a reason for the cancellation, so Britain's tabloids reported that the R'n'B superstar was too 'ill' for a long visit. The Sun implied that Rihanna was sick because of alcohol abuse: "Rihanna was last seen in public in Los Angeles early on Monday looking the worse for wear after a boozy night out."

The 24 year old singer turned to Twitter to explain the real reason for her postponing the trip. Early this evening she tweeted: "Nonsense! I'm not sick!" followed by, "I pushed my trip to London back to go spend time with my family! Sorry kiddos". Moments later, RiRi turned angry and hit back at The Sun: "The Sun Newspaper is like a f*ckin ass hair, full of s*it!!!!!!"
So it turns out Rihanna isn't drinking herself to death and just wants a break with her loved ones. The tabloids seemed to have jumped to conclusions with lack of evidence and no reliable sources. Moral of the story readers: don't always believe what you read!
