Rihanna For River Island

The wait is over! On Monday, Rihanna's brand new clothing collection entered River Island stores throughout the UK. If you've been in a River Island shop over the past week, then you'll know that they've been completely Rihanna-fied! Her hit songs are blaring out the speakers and her new collection surrounds you at the front door.

This campaign photo shows that Rihanna (with a lot of help from River Island fashion designers) has opted for dark colours, with a girly but grunge vibe. You may also have noticed that the pieces put a lot of flesh on show, but this is Rihanna we're talking about...

Unfortunately, to pull off Rihanna's designs, you've got to have a flat stomach. She's loving the cropped trend. It will also help if you have a large disposable income sitting in your purse. I think a lot of the clothes have been slightly over-priced! However, I'm loving RiRi's collection overall so I've put together some of my favourites.

Rihanna Carries On Her Partying Lifestyle In London

Looks like RiRi is still a party girl even when she's in the UK! Rihanna enjoyed a night out after her surprise performance at Hackney Weekend last night. She arrived at The Birdcage Pub in East London and then moved onto a stylish club called Whisky Mist, until she called it a night at 3.30am this morning.
The 24 year old singer put on an amazing show at the Radio 1 festival!
Something all the newspapers have picked up on this morning is that RiRi didn't change out of her sweaty performance clothes before hitting the streets of London! She danced in the clubs with the same fishnet tights, skimpy black shorts and leopard patterned t-shirt that she'd worn for her Hackney performance hours before.

Rihanna was holding hands with her best friend, Melissa Forde, as she left Whisky Mist.
I thought the Barbados beauty looked great even though she didn't have a change of clothes!  She also provided us with a brilliant performance at Hackney festival. She first turned up on stage to perform Run This Town with rapper, Jay-Z He then returned the favour by singing Rihanna's hits Umbrella and Talk That Talk alongside her. Rihanna went on to perform a number of her chart topping songs including Only Girl In The World, Disturbia, S&M, What's My Name, We Found Love and Rude Boy.

The crowd at Hackney went wild for her as Rihanna shouted: "Hackney, you're crazier than they told me!" It seems that RiRi was the ideal act to close the show for the weekend and she celebrated this in style.

Rumours Spread As Rihanna Cancels UK Trip

Earlier today, it was announced that Rihanna had cancelled her ten week trip to the UK. She was due to land in London yesterday but did not arrive. She was planned to film a show for Sky Living today and was supposed to appear on Graham Norton's show next Friday. Not to mention performing at Radio 1's Big Weekend and headlining at Wireless Festival next month!

Rihanna's 'bosses' refused to give a reason for the cancellation, so Britain's tabloids reported that the R'n'B superstar was too 'ill' for a long visit. The Sun implied that Rihanna was sick because of alcohol abuse: "Rihanna was last seen in public in Los Angeles early on Monday looking the worse for wear after a boozy night out."

Rihanna was slated by The Mirror for 'looking knackered' when buying a coffee in Santa Monica earlier this week. (The poor girl probably just had no make up on!)

The 24 year old singer turned to Twitter to explain the real reason for her postponing the trip. Early this evening she tweeted: "Nonsense! I'm not sick!" followed by, "I pushed my trip to London back to go spend time with my family! Sorry kiddos". Moments later, RiRi turned angry and hit back at The Sun: "The Sun Newspaper is like a f*ckin ass hair, full of s*it!!!!!!"

So it turns out Rihanna isn't drinking herself to death and just wants a break with her loved ones. The tabloids seemed to have jumped to conclusions with lack of evidence and no reliable sources. Moral of the story readers: don't always believe what you read!
