You Must See Magic Mike!

I just got back from the cinema after seeing the much anticipated film, Magic Mike. I've got to say, it was pretty good! Magic Mike stars Step Up actor, Channing Tatum, and is about the happenings behind a male strip club. The UK movie premiere aired on Tuesday night and the film was released in cinemas throughout the UK yesterday. My cinema theatre tonight was full of women, with barely a man in sight! (Apart from the male hotties on the screen)...

Here is my review and opinion on Magic Mike!

The positives:
- It was hilarious.
- The sexy male strippers did not disappoint.
- Great acting.
- Brilliant soundtrack.
- There was a bit of female nudity so it can be viewed by both sexes!

The negatives:
- Not enough nudity! Scrap the 15 certificate for an x-rated 18.
- Some of the camera shots and angles seemed amateur.
- There wasn't much of a storyline.
- Some of the happenings were quite predictable.

But overall, I loved Magic Mike and really recommend you girls to go and see it!

A Perfect Sunday Night In

Good news for all you girls who are sick of football! There's a brilliant romantic film on television tonight to save you from Euro 2012 football matches. Dear John was released in 2010 starring Hollywood hunk, Channing Tatum, as John and Mean Girls actress, Amanda Seyfried, as Savanna. The story invloves John and Savanna falling in love, except that John is a soldier who is later sent to war. The two lovers then send letters to each other during this time. Dear John comes from the same creators as The Notebook, so it is bound to be a romantic tale.

I saw this film two years ago when it was first released in cinemas and remember absolutely loving it! (Mainly because I got to stare at the gorgeous Channing Tatum for two hours). I recommend all you girls who love a 'chick flick' to grab the popcorn, relax on the sofa and turn on Channel 4 at 8pm!
