Skyfall Didn't Disappoint

Last night, I saw the most anticipated film of the year, Skyfall. The latest James Bond film was spectacular to say the least. Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Naomie Harris have all provided us with an amazing action-packed treat for James Bond's 50th anniversary!

Skyfall began with an exciting car and motorbike chase, which was my favourite part of the whole film. It involved brilliant graphics, breath-taking scenes and ended with a shocking and unexpected twist. (But I won't spoil that too much for you!) During the opening credits, Adele's soundtrack had a much greater impact than it does on the radio. It worked extremely well and even gave me shivers. As Skyfall went on it contained all the iconic elements of a typical James Bond film - Guns, gambling, blood, sex and gadgets. There were many thrilling, tense and nerve-racking violent scenes which kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

I found that a number of the characters in Skyfall were intriguing and I became really attached to them. The new 'Bond women', played by Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe were really interesting and I found myself wanting to know about their pasts. Ben Whishaw provided us with a new type of 'Q'. The gadget and technical scientist is usually an older and sophisticated man, whereas Skyfall's Q is a young geeky boy, who I found adorable! Judi Dench was marvellous as always and the villian, Javier Bardem, did a great job because he really made my skin crawl. And of course, Daniel Craig was astonishing as 007 and is certainly, in my opinion, the best James Bond of all time.

Overall, Skyfall included the typical humorous lines and actions that usually appear in a James Bond film, without taking away the seriousness. I also found that the storyline was easier to follow in Skyfall than in most James Bond films. I'm usually left feeling very confused but I completely understood this plot. All I can say is that the story definitely isn't finished and Skyfall is not over yet!

I'm going to tease you all a bit now! I don't want to give too much away for those of you who haven't seen Skyfall yet, but there is a hugely shocking moment towards the end of the film which is completely unexpected. I hope it doesn't get leaked on Twitter, Facebook or the internet because it's best kept as a secret.

To conclude, I strongly recommend all of my readers to go and see Skyfall, as soon as possible! It really is spectacular, thrilling, exciting and phenomenal. However, it's said to be 'the best Bond film yet' within the media, but I have to disagree. I preferred Casino Royale, where Daniel Craig played James Bond for the first time. I thought there was a better storyline and more astonishing action in Casino Royale. But nevertheless, I absolutely loved Skyfall. Nine out of ten!
